A graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University with a B.A. in Radio Broadcasting: Mass Communications, Deandra decided to expand her 12 year recreational dance career by founding 4 The Streetz Choreography in 2002; a hip hop based performance company affording opportunities for dancers looking to pursue their careers post high school. Professionally trained in Los Angeles, Deandra has previously performed with Ne-yo, Alicia Keys, Hilary Duff, the Disney Channel and more. Upon her return to Richmond in 2009, she has been heavily involved in the independent music industry, choreographing for local and national artists, representing national dance acts (Jungle Boogie Crew and Design Dance) while teaching at several dance studios in the area. Currently an Adjunct Professor at the University of Richmond, a choreographer, coach and dance advocate, Deandra has been championing the growth of the local dance community through dance initiatives such as the RVA Dance Awards and Studio 4 Dance, LLC.
A graduate of Virginia State University with a B.A. in Public Relations: Mass Communications, Candis has over 16 years of dance training in Jazz, Tap, Ballet and Modern along with 10 years of dance competition experience, While at VSU sheperformed for two years with the “Essence of Troy” dance line, transitioning her into an award winning competition choreographer. While living in Atlanta, Candis has performed with the African American Dance Review, judged for the Georgia High School State Dance Championship, Revolution Dance Competition, choreographed for an episode of Drop Dead Diva, served as interim Coach for the South Carolina State University dance line and has provided guest choreography for events and studios all throughout the South East. She is also a member of the National Dance Education Organization. Candis has been able to accomplish this all while simultaneously maintaining positions of Co-Assistant Director of a dance studio in Stockbridge, GA, a Lead Instructor for a dance studio in Marietta, GA, as well as middle and high school educator.
Candis and Deandra joined forces in 2009 with the original launch of MOVE! Dance Workshop and DE Management as Co-Owners. Providing quality brand management and booking essentials to a broad range of artists, sculptors, dancers and entertainers, DE has provided talent for MTV, VH1, international dance competitions, world renowned art galleries, and more. Together, Deandra and Candis provide a strong and knowledgeable team ready to work and provide dance and entertainment opportunities.
